Alexandria, LA for release (8/23/24)
On Friday, August 23, 2024, at approximately 8:27 PM the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 2900 block of Monroe Street in reference to a shooting. Responding officers found 37-year-old Willie Porter suffering from a gunshot wound. Porter was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
