Two Separate Vehicle Pursuits from the Weekend

Alexandria, LA for release (1/8/24)

The First Pursuit:

On Saturday, January 6, 2024, at approximately 11:37 AM the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 3200 block of South MacArthur Drive in reference to a theft in progress at a business.  The responding officers arrived just as the suspect was leaving the parking lot in a vehicle.  A lengthy vehicle pursuit ensued with assistance from the Louisiana State Police and the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office.  The suspect vehicle was stopped in Avoyelles Parish and four individuals were arrested.

The driver, 33-year-old Calvin Elie of Alexandria LA was arrested for one count of Reckless Operation of a Vehicle, one count of Aggravated Flight from an Officer, one count of Theft under $1,000, one count of Possession of CDS V, one count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, one count of Possession of a Firearm with Drugs, one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, one count of Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, and one count of Unlawful Use of Body Armor.

The three passengers also arrested are 38-year-old Adrian Howard of Alexandria LA, 21-year-old Crystal Rodriguez of Alexandria LA, and 26-year-old Montavious Page of Alexandria LA.

Adrian Howard was charged with one count of Possession of CDS V, one count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, one count of Possession of a Firearm with Drugs, one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, one count of Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, and one count of Unlawful Use of Body Armor.

Crystal Rodriguez was charged with one count of Possession of CDS V, one count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, one count of Possession of a Firearm with Drugs, one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, one count of Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, and one count of Unlawful Use of Body Armor.

Montavious Page was charged with one count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, one count of Possession of a Firearm with Drugs, one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, one count of Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, and one count of Unlawful Use of Body Armor.

The Alexandria Police Department would like to thank the Louisiana State Police and the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in the pursuit.

 

The Second Pursuit:

On Sunday, January 7, 2024, at approximately 1:20 PM an Alexandria Police Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the 1800 block of MacArthur Drive.  The operator of the motorcycle refused to stop and led officers on a low-speed pursuit that ended near Shannon Road.  The operator of the motorcycle, 24-year-old Jordan Gatson was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Flight from an Officer as well as five traffic-related charges.

These are currently ongoing investigations.
