Alexandria, LA for release (3/23/24)
On Friday, March 22, 2024, at approximately 8:30 PM the Alexandria Police Department responded to a local hospital regarding a 3-year-old child suffering from injuries as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle. The preliminary investigation revealed that the child was in the roadway when the single-vehicle crash occurred in the 2200 block of E. Sycamore Street. Routine toxicology tests were performed on the driver of the vehicle involved.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
