Shooting in the 2200 Block of Myrtle Street

*** Update: Suspect has been arrested ***

 

On Thursday, January 1, 2026, at approximately 5:50 pm, the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 2200 block of Myrtle Street in reference to a shooting that sent one person to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Alexandria Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with locating 25-year-old Jaquan Hill for his involvement in this case. Hill has an active warrant for his arrest for one count of attempted second-degree murder. Hill should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Hill is asked to contact the Alexandria Police Department. Hill may be in the Ball or Tioga LA area.

This is currently an ongoing investigation.
