On Monday, June 5, 2023, the Alexandria Police Department has been made aware of a possible scam wherein a caller identifying himself as an Alexandria Police Officer stated to the person called that they have a warrant for their arrest. If anyone in the public should receive a phone call as previously described, please hang up and call APD Dispatch at (318) 441-6559 who would be able to assist the public in verifying the legitimacy of the call.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
