On June 23, 2023, at 12:48 AM the Alexandria Police Department was called to 4015 Lakeside Drive in regards to someone being shot. The initial investigation revealed that a known assailant forced his way into an apartment and shot 25-year-old, Tyruin Green of Alexandria, LA. Green and another occupant of the apartment fled on foot and contacted the Alexandria Police Department. Green was transported to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
Through the investigation, the Alexandria Police detectives learned the identity of the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. The Suspect is identified as 34-year-old, Andrew D. Howard, of Alexandria, LA. The warrant issued for Howard is for one count of Home Invasion and one count of Attempted First Degree Murder. Howard should be considered armed and dangerous.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
