Alexandria, LA for release (4/1/24)
On Monday, April 1, 2024, at approximately 11:30 AM the Alexandria Police Department responded to a call at the intersection of Lee Street and Lakeside Drive in reference to a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV. The preliminary investigation revealed that the SUV failed to yield when turning onto Lee Street from Lakeside Drive. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital. The driver of the motorcycle, 29-year-old, Anthony James of Alexandria, LA, later succumbed to his injuries. Routine toxicology test results are pending on the driver of the SUV.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
