Alexandria, LA for release (10/18/23)
On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at approximately 9:15 PM, Mayon Jones Jr. was arrested in Concordia Parish and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon in connection with the October 8, 2023 homicide in the 2500 block of Culpepper Road.
This arrest can be attributed to a trustworthy relationship between the Alexandria Police Department and our citizens. The Alexandria Police Department would also like to thank the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Department and Louisiana State Police for their assistance and resources.
Troyvonta Green is still wanted and should be considered armed and dangerous. The Alexandria Police Department encourages those individuals with information on the whereabouts of Green to come forward.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
