Marlina Harris Attempted Second Degree Murder

On Friday, October 13, 2023, at approximately 1:20 AM the Alexandria Police Department responded to Lee Street and Texas Avenue in reference to a domestic violence-related incident that escalated into gunshots being fired.  The investigation revealed that 27-year-old Marlina Harris fired several gunshots into a vehicle driven by her boyfriend who was fleeing the scene.  Harris was arrested and charged with one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.  The boyfriend was not injured in this incident.
