Alexandria, LA for release (8/20/24)
On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at approximately 3:54 PM the Alexandria Police Department responded to a local business in the 3200 block of South MacArthur Drive in reference to shots fired and an attempted robbery. A juvenile armed with a handgun entered the business and attempted to rob an employee of merchandise that included firearms; at which time, the suspect fired one shot into a gun case. No one was injured during the incident. The suspect fled the business in a vehicle that subsequently crashed on MacArthur Drive and Veterans Drive. The juvenile has been detained at this time and charges are pending.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
