Armed Robbery in the 200 Block of 4th Street

Alexandria, LA, for release (6/24/26)

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at approximately 5:10 a.m., the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 200 block of 4th Street regarding a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a victim had been robbed and stabbed in the rear parking lot of the Medical Plaza at Rapides Regional Medical Center.  The victim is currently listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie, dark-colored pants, and white shoes. He fled the scene toward the Bayou Rapides Greenbelt. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and authorities believe he may be a member of the unhoused population in Alexandria.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Alexandria Police Department.
