Alexandria Police Chief Chad Gremillion added, “Not every time you see our officers in your neighborhoods does it mean there’s an immediate threat to public safety or that a violent crime has occurred. More often, it’s our officers doing the proactive work necessary to prevent those crimes from happening in the first place. That visibility and engagement are what keep our community safer. And when we work hand-in-hand with our partners at the Louisiana State Police and Louisiana Probation and Parole, it strengthens our ability to make arrests like this and hold offenders accountable.”
The Alexandria Police Department continues to prioritize the removal of illegal firearms from the community and remains committed to ensuring public safety.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
