Alexandria, LA for release (4/24/25)
On Saturday, April 12, 2025, at approximately 2:13 AM, officers with the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 100 block of MacArthur Drive regarding an individual who had been battered.
The victim was identified as 58-year-old Jerry Chesser. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was being treated for his injuries. Tragically, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Mr. Chesser succumbed to his injuries.
On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, an autopsy was conducted, and the death was officially ruled a homicide.
