On Sunday, December 9, 2024, at approximately 12:20 AM the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 600 block of Richmond Drive in reference to a shooting. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
A suspect in this incident has been identified as 42-year-old Michael Wayne Collins Sr. of Alexandria LA. A warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm has been issued for his arrest. Collins should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Michael Wayne Collins Sr. should call the Alexandria Police Department.
