Alexandria, LA for release (12/3/24)
On Monday, December 2, 2024, at approximately 7:45 PM the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 700 block of MacArthur Drive in reference to a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. The crash claimed the life of the pedestrian identified as 66-year-old Anthony Butler of Alexandria LA.
The initial investigation revealed Butler was crossing the southbound travel lane of MacArthur Drive at the Cottonwood Drive Crossover when the crash occurred. Routine toxicology samples from the driver were obtained and submitted for analysis.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
