Alexandria, LA for release (8/29/24)
On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at approximately 9:12 PM the Alexandria Police Department responded to US 71 and 3rd Street in reference to a crash involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian and motorcycle were traveling southbound in the left-hand travel lane on US 71 when the crash occurred. The pedestrian and operator of the motorcycle were transported to a local hospital with major injuries. A toxicology screening was performed and is pending.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
