Alexandria, LA, for release (6/27/26)
On Friday, June 26, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the victim in the shooting that occurred at Tennessee Avenue and 11th Street, 30-year-old Raydrian Fisher, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
The Alexandria Police Department is saddened by Mr. Fisher’s passing and extends its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Mr. Fisher’s death marks Alexandria’s first gun-related homicide of 2026, ending a nearly seven-month period without a gun-related homicide in the city. While any loss of life to violence is heartbreaking, this extended period reflects the continued commitment of the Alexandria Police Department and its law enforcement partners to proactively address violent crime, remove illegal firearms from the streets, and intervene before conflicts escalate into deadly violence.
Although this tragic incident is a reminder that our work is far from finished, investigators remain fully committed to identifying and arresting the individual responsible. Every available investigative resource is being dedicated to this case, and the Alexandria Police Department will continue its unwavering efforts to reduce gun violence and keep our community safe.
Chief Chad Gremillion said, “Today’s news is heartbreaking for Mr. Fisher’s family and for our entire community. While we are proud that Alexandria went nearly seven months without a gun-related homicide, one act of violence is one too many. Our detectives will not stop until the person responsible is held accountable, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to reducing violent crime and protecting every member of our community.”
