Alexandria, LA, for release (5/3/26)
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, at approximately 10:45 AM, the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 3500 block of Queens Court in reference to a shooting. Responding officers quickly located both the victim and suspect. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital. The suspect, 60-year-old Jerry Phillips III, was taken into custody and charged with one count of aggravated second-degree battery and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
