Registered Sex Offender Arrested for Attempted Kidnapping in Alexandria

The Alexandria Police Department has arrested 25-year-old Christopher Braxton, a registered sex offender, in connection with an attempted kidnapping that occurred on April 7, 2025, in the West Sycamore area of Alexandria.  Louisiana Probation and Parole officers, working in conjunction with APD, located and arrested Braxton earlier today without incident.

Braxton remains in custody as the investigation continues.  He is being charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, one count of sexual battery, and one count of attempted simple kidnapping.
