July 4th Gunfire Leads to Three Arrests

Alexandria, LA for release (7/5/24)

On Thursday, July 4, 2024, at approximately 11:03 PM the Alexandria Police responded to multiple calls about people shooting guns in the 2900 block of Fox Run.  Responding officers arrested three individuals and confiscated three firearms, one of which was stolen. 19-year-old Matthew Snowden of Alexandria, LA was charged with Discharging a Firearm in the City Limits and Resisting an Officer.  20-year-old Jamari Harris from Boyce LA was charged with Discharging a Firearm in the City Limits and Resisting an Officer.  19-year-old Gary Matthews of Alexandria LA was charged with Discharging a Firearm in the City Limits, Resisting an Officer, and Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

The Alexandria Police Department would like to thank the Louisiana State Police and the Rapides Parish Sherriff’s Office for their assistance with this apprehension.

This is currently an ongoing investigation.
