On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at approximately 12:40 PM the Alexandria Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of Sunset Drive in reference to a shooting. The responding officers located 21-year-old Devyn Sells of Alexandria LA deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. 17-year-old Jeremiah Dorsey of Alexandria LA was taken into custody and charged with one count of Negligent Homicide.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
