The Alexandria Police Department (APD) has been made aware that citizens are receiving phone calls from a department phone number, (318) 449-5099, soliciting funds. This is a spoof call and is not associated with the Alexandria Police Department.
APD does not solicit funds over the phone under any circumstances. If you receive a call like this, please do not provide any personal information and simply ignore the request.
We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious calls to APD at (318) 441-6559.
